Apprenticeships
If you are considering becoming an apprentice, we can offer a lot of support to help you fulfill your potential.
First things first… Before starting your training with Training at Hopwood, you will have an interview to discuss what kind of training would be most beneficial to you. We will give you all the advice you need to make an informed decision, and explain what support you can expect from us. You will then do an initial assessment, and develop an individual learning plan through discussion with an advisor. When you first start on the programme you will be given an in-depth explanation of what to expect, and a wealth of information. This final session is known as your Induction. Moving forwards… Regular meetings throughout your programme will be arranged with your tutor/assessor to discuss how you are progressing. These discussions ensure that you get the help you need to identify any barriers that may be restricting your learning. They also offer the opportunity for you to ask any questions you might have, and share your views on the programme. Next steps… Towards the end of your training, you will meet with our team of experts to review your learning experience and discuss how you might use the skills and knowledge you’ve gained. You will receive more information about further development options and what your next steps might be. What are apprenticeships? Apprenticeships are designed to make your organisation as effective, productive and competitive as it can be. Apprentices strive to achieve a high level of competency by learning and practicing new skills, which in turn, can help to boost the performance of your company. As employees, apprentices work alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills, and also receive training with a local college, usually on a day release basis. This differs from the Train to Gain initiative which is conducted entirely within the workplace. Over 180 different Apprenticeship frameworks are available across 80 different industry sectors, which means there is a highly significant chance that there is a place for an apprentice within your business. Over 130,000 businesses offer Apprenticeships in England alone, and they generally fall into one of two categories:
Advanced Apprenticeships usually last two years and apprentices work towards a National Vocational Qualification at Level 3, Key Skills and a technical certificate. You can view the Rochdale Apprenticeship brochure online here.
They can increase your business’s productivity which in turn will impact on your bottom line...
