About Childcare
This Apprenticeship is for people who want to work with children aged 0 to 16 (and their families) to make sure children are looked after, and kept active, happy and nourished.

Children’s care, learning and development can take place in a great variety of places, as an Apprentice, the exact nature of your job role will depend on your employer, though you’ll be working in a supervised setting. You could learn to keep children safe, methods of play that promote development and learning, and ways to build positive relationships with children.

Assessment
Assessment is in the workplace and takes place whilst the apprentice performs their normal work duties. This shows that they are acquiring the skills and knowledge to effectively carry out the job.
