Who is the course for?
This course is designed as a simple step by step introduction to Retail.So, if you have had very limited knowledge of retail or none at all, and wish to develop a foundation understanding in this area, this is the course for you.
Is this course for me?
This course can be completed within five half days, 15 hours classroom time.
You don’t need any experience of retail.You will need a good standard of English to get the most out of this course.
What does it cover?
This course covers the following areas:
- Customer Service Sales
What will I be able to do?
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Recognise and respond to customer needs
- Speak and listen to customers on the phone
- Advise customers
- Deal with complaints
- Promote services
- Deal with returned goods
- Product knowledge and reading product labels
- Counter sales
- Charging for purchases
- Handle cash/non-cash payments
- Additional services at point of sale
- Filling in forms
Retail Stage 2
Who is it for?
This course is designed as the next step in Retail.So, if you have had very limited knowledge of retail or none at all, and wish to develop a foundation understanding in this area, this is the course for you.
Is this course for me?
This course can be completed within 15 hours classroom time.
You need some knowledge of retail, preferably attendance to our ‘Retail Stage 1’ course.If not, some basic knowledge or experience would be required.You will need a good standard of English to get the most out of this course.
What does it cover?
This course covers the following areas:
- Goods Inwards and Storage
- Working Effectively
What will I be able to do?
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Check codes and delivery sheets
- Understand times, dates and storage temperatures
- Understand shelf edge labels and box end labels
- Count stock
- Price goods ready for sale
- Use the staff hand book
- Understand health and safety information
- Following instructions and procedures
- Completing an accident report form
- Being part of a team and understanding your role
- Making best of appraisal and notes during training
