Content
Leaners will achieve a Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, together with a Technical certificate, Employers Rights and Responsibility and Key Skills in Application of Number and Communication at Level 1 & 2.

About Health & Social Care
Health care includes work in hospitals, nursing homes and hospices. You could help patients in hospital or at home – serving food, making and changing beds, ensuring they’re comfortable, taking temperatures and so on.

Social care involves helping people with particular needs, such as the disabled or elderly. Social care staff can be personal care assistants, duties could involve anything from helping clients get dressed to driving them around.

The NHS, private sector, local authorities, voluntary organisations and the armed forces all employ apprentices, and you’ll choose from a broad range of specialisms.

After the Advanced Apprenticeship, you could go on to Higher Education in subjects like nursing or radiotherapy.

Assessment
Assessment is in the workplace and takes place whilst the apprentice performs their normal work duties. This shows that they are acquiring the skills and knowledge to effectively carry out the job.
